Rainmaker – Barry Lapointe
Barry Lapointe is the President and founder of Kelowna Flightcraft. I did not realize until setting foot on the premises, how big of an operation that they have. “Kelowna Flightcraft owns the largest fleet of aircraft operating in the Canadian Air Freight market” (from: Kelowna Flightcraft Webpage) = many busy people. Thanks Barry, for being a sport and joining me in the rain and drizzle!

Rainmaker – Chief Clarence Louie
Chief Clarence Louie is the straight-talking Chief of the Osoyoos Indian Band. Their economic development team is creating big opportunities in the southern interior of British Columbia. Chief Clarence Louie’s leadership is well known (CBC – The National – Profile). Having studied Native Studies in my time at Trent University – he is well known to me as well. Meeting the Chief was an honor, as well as a breath of fresh air - a down to earth, gentleman.

Upon the Chief’s suggestion, we also included the newest generation from the community – the future. Thank you for spending this time with me Chief.

Rainmakers' Portraits
I’ve been assigned by Okanagan Life Magazine to produce portraits of a number of important Okanaganites’ – “Rainmakers” is to be a special issue that is being published this spring.
Yesterday I had the great pleasure of working with Brad Bennett, President of McIntosh Properties Ltd, member of the UBC Board of Governors and most importantly – avid fisherman! Thank you so much for taking time out of your very busy schedule to share some time.

Sigrid-Ann Thors has a very impressive history of community involvement and is currently Chair of the Vernon and District Performing Arts Society. Pictured here in the Vernon Performing Arts Theatre, she epitomizes the face in the crowd. A tireless behind-the-scenes worker, it was a pleasure to meet you Sigrid-Ann.
